My Take on the DVD

I used to watch this show when I was a kid in the mid-1980's. and it was fun then and it was great to see that I as well as a whole new generation can watch and enjoy this series now as well. While this is only Season one I am sure that not too far into the future that will be coming out with the rest of the seasons as well. I will be nice when the whole series is out and you can finish the whole set!

The series is fun with good writing and plot. While the artistry is different than what you would get today, it is still good never-the-less and it reminds me a lot of some of the other great 80's cartoons such as Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man and others!

If you are a Conan fan and you have never seen this series, you are missing out! Come and check it out today!

Angelina Ballerina Twirling with Nigel Lythgoe, Larry King for Heart Health

Legendary talk show host, Larry King, has put on his dancing shoes to boogie down with Angelina Ballerina™ and Nigel Lythgoe, the executive producer of “So You Think You Can Dance” and “American Idol,” in a new PSA that debuts in July celebrating the health benefits of dance. The PSA was produced by HIT Entertainment, one of the world's leading independent children's entertainment producers, and the Dizzy Feet Foundation, a national organization founded by Lythgoe, director/producer Adam Shankman, “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba, and actress Katie Holmes, among others. The Angelina Ballerina Stars of Tomorrow PSA will be part of the overall Dance 4 Your Life!, a new national health campaign that was recently launched by the Larry King Cardiac Foundation and the Dizzy Feet Foundation, and asks Americans to dance their way toward an active and healthy lifestyle.

“I had an incredible time talking with my friends Nigel Lythgoe and Angelina Ballerina about dancing your way to good health,” said Larry King. “It is extremely important to spread the message of taking care of your heart. And what better way than to encourage people of all ages to have fun, get up and dance your way to a healthier life!"

The PSA spotlights dancing as a heart-healthy form of exercise and features Lythgoe and King being interviewed by Angelina Ballerina (sporting Larry’s signature suspenders and eyeglasses) about the benefits of dance at any age. After the interview, King and Lythgoe join Angelina in a rousing dance number. The PSA will be featured in an online campaign and social media campaign that will encompass kid-targeted websites, including the official Angelina Ballerina website,www.angelinaballerina.com.

King is the founder of the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, which provides funding for life-saving cardiac procedures for individuals who, due to limited means and no insurance, would be otherwise unable to receive life saving treatment.

“The Angelina Ballerina Stars of Tomorrow program has been instrumental in encouraging young people to pursue their love of dance,” said Nigel Lythgoe. “Partnering with HIT Entertainment and Larry King, the Dizzy Feet Foundation continues to achieve its goal of promoting dance as a wonderful, healthy activity for people of all ages.”

In addition to the recently produced PSA, HIT’s Angelina Ballerina™ Stars of Tomorrow Program (AB Stars), in partnership with the Dizzy Feet Foundation, recently awarded scholarships to three dancers in the AB Stars program who have shown exceptional promise. From AB Stars dance programs hosted at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in New York City and the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club in Atlanta, three young dancers each received a $2500 scholarship this past spring to continue their dance education.

“Through our PSAs and scholarship programs, the Angelina Ballerina Stars of Tomorrow program and the Dizzy Feet Foundation are reaching more and more youngsters who are embracing the power of dance,” said EJ Minor, Vice President, Marketing, HIT Entertainment. “We welcome Larry King as our newest ambassador to promote dance as a healthy form of exercise.”

The AB Stars program was inspired by Angelina Ballerina, a beloved publishing property created by Katherine Holabird and Helen Craig about a little mouse who works hard to reach her goals. Kicking off last year, the AB Stars program helps raise awareness for the benefits of dance by providing classes to children. Goals of the AB Stars program include helping to build confidence, inspiring creativity and promoting physical health, while making dance accessible to all children. DVD Review - HAVE A LAUGH Vol. 3 & 4

Your Favorite Disney Characters are Back and Better than Ever!

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases HAVE A LAUGH: Volumes 3 and 4 on DVD! Classic shorts featuring Mickey, Donald, Goofy & Pluto are fully restored and re-mastered! Both volumes also include brand new "Re-MICKS" features, which are comprised of modern musical hits under classic cartoon clips!

Chef Donald (Vol. 3)

Pluto's Surprise Package (Vol. 4)

My Take on the DVDThis collection of classic Disney shorts was amazing and it brought me back to my days as a kid. I let my girls watch these and they were laughing up a storm. I do not think that they had ever watched these cartoons before, but I was happy to share them, and with our family being huge Disney fans this was a great addition. The only thing that I wished was that each were a little longer. Though they had about 4-5 episodes each, I wished for more, but I guess that is why there are different volumes to add to the collection at a later date.

If you are a fan of Mickey, Donald and more, these collections are a must have for your family's collection!

My Take on the DVD

I have been a transformers far since I was a kid and I was excited to see that they were finally bringing to DVD some of the cartoons that I remembered (though I was surprised to find that it had not been released in the past). I had seen some of these videos on youtube in the past but they did not do the shows justice, this DVD on the other hand was a whole other thing.

I have to say that I really enjoyed the storyline of this DVD. The plot is strong, the artwork is superb and you are definitely left wanting more in the end.

All in all I enjoyed this DVD immensely and can't wait for the rest of the series to be released in the future. If you are a transformers fan, you will love this DVD!

My Take on the Book
This book was a fun look at the state of society today. I have always enjoyed comics and this was one that I had not read in the past. When I got this book, I sat down and was instantly engrossed. The author has captured the true essence of a dog. As someone who does not own a dog I still enjoyed this and I even shared it with a few friends who do own dogs and they loved the way that dogs were portrayed and thought that the book did the mannerisms of dogs justice. I also liked the fact that all sales of this book go toward animal rescue and adoption.

Overall a very funny and fun book!

Bring Home Over An Hour of Exciting Interactive Features and

Exclusive Bonus Levels of Angry Birds Rio® with Blu-ray Purchase

As summer heats up, spread your wings and celebrate with the funniest birds in town! The all-new comedy-adventure RIO comes to Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. RIO brings together vivid characters and colorful backdrops amidst energizing Latin and contemporary tunes, creating the ultimate family-friendly music and dance experience for audiences of all ages. Captured as a young bird from the wild, Blu (Jesse Eisenberg, The Social Network) is a domesticated Spix Macaw living thousands of miles away from his homeland, Brazil. When his human owner Linda (Leslie Mann, 17 Again) discovers that he is the last male of his kind, they head south to Rio de Janeiro to meet the only other female. But it's far from love at first sight between the socially-awkward, flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel (Anne Hathaway, The Princess Diaries). Shortly after Blu's arrival, the two rare birds are captured by greedy animal smugglers and find themselves lost in the Brazilian rainforest. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on a hilarious and clumsy adventure where they learn about friendship, love, courage and spreading one's wings to fly.
