Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMNHospitals.org), a charity that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, announced today that its new online campaign, 100 Million Miracles, will officially launch at the Give Back Hollywood launch party and beauty retreat on Saturday, June 4.
The 100 Million Miracles program is an effort to use social media platforms to raise $100 million to benefit the more than 17 million children and families that the charity supports each year. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals anticipates that its supporters – both individuals and corporations – will use their social media channels to spread the word to support children’s hospitals across North America.
The Give Back Hollywood Foundation is hosting the “Give Back Hollywood Pledge” launch party and beauty retreat to encourage celebrities to pledge to use their social media outreach to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, among other charities. Tianna, a 17-year-old Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles patient with rare Churg-Strauss Syndrome, and Tommy, a 13-year-old Children’s Hospital of Orange County patient with acute lymphatic leukemia, will attend the charitable cause to share their stories of overcoming medical obstacles through treatments at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Tianna and Tommy will be accompanied by celebrities and will be honored with a red carpet moment.
“As the largest children’s hospital charity, treating one in nine kids in North America, we have the privilege of helping to save the lives of millions of children,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Through the gracious support of Delta Air Lines and the Give Back Hollywood Foundation, we hope to broadly share this cause through social media to create more miracles in our local communities.”
As the corporate launch partner of the 100 Million Miracles campaign, Delta Air Lines will communicate the program to its more than 30,000,000 SkyMiles members. Delta Air Lines’ initiatives include giving 1,000 SkyMiles to everyone that donates $50 or more (up to 5,000 dollars). The airline will also offer a weekly sweepstakes for anyone to enter for a $10 fee with one winner per week receiving 50,000 SkyMiles. Additionally, 10 percent of the cost of all new Delta SkyClub memberships purchased during June will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals All fundraising dollars will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the100 Million Miracles program. Additionally, Delta Air Lines will feature the 100 Million Miracles program by offering www.100millionmiracles.com as a free in-flight site, no wifi purchase necessary.
