Legendary rock 'n roll guitarist, Bo Diddley, died Monday at age 79 of a heart attack in his Florida home.
Diddley had a great influence over today's leading rock stars. The Bo Diddley beat, has earned him the title of being one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Diddley was an inspiration to other guitarists such as the late Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen.
In 1986, Diddley was named to the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.
In 1996, Bo Diddley received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation. Diddley received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998.
One of his famous songs is Who Do You Love? (1956).
