Jennifer Hudson bounces back with new album, upcoming movie
The 29-year-old dropped from a size 16 to a size 6 in just 12 months after giving birth to her son David Jr. in August 2009 by following Weight Watchers (she's now their spokeswoman) and hitting the gym five times a week.
The Oscar-winning 'Dreamgirls' starlet's incredible transformation turned heads, as she looked svelte as ever in a tangerine Versace gown.
Hudson, who has been lying low since the tragic murders of her mother and brother in 2008, is re-entering the spotlight with a second studio album, 'I Remember Me,' out on March 22.
She also has a challenging new role as Nelson Mandela's wife in the upcoming biopic 'Winnie', reports the New York Daily News.
Hudson tells EW.com of her new album: "I named it 'I Remember Me' because I feel like in 29 years I 've led over four different lives.
"It is a disk of everything I've been through. I don't have much from my old stuff to grasp at, so the only way I remember me is from my voice or the scar on my hand. That's a part of me and I want to remember it all."

Jennifer Hudson hoards clothing?
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her chatshow, Hudson, who recently slimmed down from a size 16 to a 6, said that she has bought so many new clothes that she has run out of closet space in her home.
"It's so bad, Ellen, to the point that I have to throw my clothes up on the canopy of the bed because I don't have any space in the drawers or the closet," the singer-actress said.
She added: "I've taken over the bedroom, the guest room, and now I'm throwing stuff on top of the canopy."
Hudson explained that she, her son David and fiancé David Otunga are running out of room in their house.
DeGeneres joked: "You've seen the show Hoarders, right?"
Hudson said that her situation was different because all of her clothes are new.
However, DeGeneres quipped: "They all think it's different."

Jennifer Hudson Pregnant | Baby Shower
Just in today is that Jennifer Hudson is pregnant. Anybody with good vision and good brains can see her "baby bump" from the photo above taken on May 1 2009. Family and friends of the former American Idol contestant and Oscar winner, for her performance in "Dreamgirls" in 2006, gave her a Baby Shower. However, we still don't know whether the baby will be a boy or girl.
Hudson is engaged to former reality TV star David Otunga, who’s currently pursuing a pro wrestling career. Maybe we'll see future hubby in the UFC. That would be awesome!

What's The Skinny On Jennifer Hudson?
Jennifer Hudson is ‘HOT’ on the cover of her upcoming debut album that is due out in September. What's the skinny on Hudson’s secret to her new svelte figure? Insiders are saying the cover received no airbrushing. If you look at the photo below where she posed at the recent Black Ball event on July 9, 2008 in London, you might think that couldn't be the same person. What happened to the "tiny" waist? Those arms of hers look at little "plumper" on the picture below. Photoshop anyone???
She's still cute but she could lose a few pounds.
