Book Review - Ava's Guide to Garage Sale Gold

About the Book
We all know how fickle kids can be when it comes to their toys. One minute they only love Spiderman toys, and then next minute, all they want is Thomas the Tank Engine. Young children have a tendency to develop fixations on certain things- in fact, 70% of preschoolers have a consuming interest (according to research cited in Parents Magazine). While this obsession is natural, it can become expensive when these interests change as quickly as the child is growing. One great solution to this problem is having a garage sale. What is old news to your child might be just what another child has been dreaming about. This is why I wanted to tell you about Ava’s Guide to Garage Sale Gold, a new guide written by a woman who is both a professional advertiser and a garage sale aficionado.

Ava Seavey, a “self-taught master of garagesaleology,” has combined her passion for garage sales with her years of professional advertising experience to produce a foolproof guide to having successful garage sales. After having successfully made millions for business owners and entrepreneurs, Ava now wants to help regular people make money for themselves. Her guide is fun and easy to read, and the website, www.garagesalegold.com, is full of informative content to ensure success.

My Take on the BookIf you have ever held a garage sale yourself or plan to in the future or if you simply have a huge amount of "stuff" around the house, this short but sweet book is full of amazing tips that will turn your small earnings into large ones. What I liked about the book was that it was well put together to answer all of the questions that you may have as you are weighing your options about having a garage sale and what you should do to make the most of this sale (if you have it).

The book also has so many great ideas about placement of objects, decor on tables, and overall layout and pricing, you will be amazed!

So make good choices as you plan your next garage sale, and this book is a start in the right direction!
