"I think it’s more empowering to everybody, including myself, if I’m articulate about identifying myself as a straight male playing a gay character. Ultimately, that’s more powerful for both communities."

Yaddayaddayaddda, Darren. Translation: "I think it's more empowering to my career if I keep reminding people of my heterosexuality." You, and about a thousand other straight actors have been in this "empowering" position. Don't get us wrong; we have no issue with straight actors playing gay, but let's not act like it's some exciting new development for "both communities."

As for the pictures, well...we kind of burst out laughing at them.

Pink cotton button-down shirt by 3.1 Phillip Lim.

White cotton t-shirt by A|X Armani Exchange. Leather jacket by Diesel.

Sweater by A|X Armani Exchange.

Black cotton t-shirt by A|X Armani Exchange.

Yellow and navy striped shirt by Marni.
Maroon shorts with drawstring by Band of Outsiders.

Cream knit cardigan by Opening Ceremony.

They tried to sex him up for a gay magazine and instead he looks terrified that he's going to be raped. We doubt that was the effect they were going for, but it is kind of funny. The clothes look great, though. And you can't fuck up cute. But "smoldering" is not in his wheelhouse.
