Justin Bieber: Never Say Never ft. Jaden Smith | Music Video

Check out this music video by Justin Bieber performing Never Say Never, featuring Jaden Smith, star of the upcoming movie Karate Kid (remake) -- (C) 2010 The Island Def Jam Music Group.

Justin Bieber, 16 and Jaden Smith, 11 created this music video for the Karate Kid theme song, Never Say Never. Smith plays Dre Parker (aka the karate kid) in the upcoming remake of The Karate Kid. This video is well edited, highly energetic, and it looks like these two young mega-stars had fun making it.

The car was designed by Pininfarina, as with all recent Ferrari models. The car’s exterior styling and features were designed for aerodynamic efficiency, producing a downforce of 140 kg at 124 miles per hour (200 km/h).

In particular, the front grille features deformable winglets that lower at high speeds, in order to offer reduced drag.

The car's interior was designed using input from former Ferrari Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher, including a new steering wheel design which incorporates many features and controls as opposed to them being on the dashboard, similar to racing car designs.

2010 Ferrari California Aerodynamics

Ferrari spent over 1,000 hours in the wind tunnel with a one-third-scale model of the California perfecting its aerodynamics.

With the top up, the California has a drag coefficient of 0.32, making it the most aerodynamic Ferrari ever made.

2011 Chevrolet Cruze Powertrains

Powertrains fitted to the Cruze are the 1.6 litre Family 1 four-cylinder, a 1.8 litre version of the same and a 2.0 litre VM Motori RA 420 SOHC turbocharged common rail diesel.

All three engines are coupled to a five-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission featuring Active Select. From 2010, a new turbocharged 1.4 litre Family 0 engine with gasoline direct-injection will be introduced.

I Maratona de Ilustrações para tatuagens

Maratona de ilustrações relacionadas a tatuagem. Oficina de desenhos artístico temático.

Serão quatro encontros aos sábados, das 14 as 18 Hs, no mês de junho, na CCMQ. Com o objeivo de realização prática de ilustrações relacionadas a Grafia de Tatuagens; Os quatro encontros terão teor principalmente prático, com abordagens teóricas específicas em cada encontro, bem como avaliaçao coletiva e exercícios de construção gráfica, atrelados a produção de cada participante, desenvolvendo matrizes para tatuagem artesanal.

A oficina não necessita de materiais especiais, a não ser papel e lápis B, trabalharemos sem tinta, aquarelado ou outras técnias que não o desenho a grafite seco.

Sob a orientação do Tatuador Profissional e Arte-pedagogo Vinícius Gueterres da Rocha, vamos compor Desenhos e Ilustrações relativas a arte da tatuagem, e também estabeleceremos uma postura crítica em relação a metodologia e resultado referente a estas obras gráficas, compreendendo melhor a iconografia, estilos, e influencias do desenho na tatuagem, bem como será identificado a presença da imagem da tattoo nas produções, visuais contemporâneas, Artes, Design, Cinema, Propaganda.

Atenção: A oficina abordará o desenho relacionado a tatuagem, mas não é um curso de tatuagem.

John Waters' Role Models

John Waters has written a new book. Role Models. About the various persons he looks to as role models, including Johnny Mathis and some makers of pornographic movies. Gave an interesting interview to Terry Gross on Fresh Air. You can listen to it at www.freshair.com.

Come to think of it, I said something rude about John Waters in a recent post. About his anti-Diane Linkletter movie.

As I understand it, Waters made "The Diane Linkletter Story" to test out the single-system sound camera he was using to make Pink Flamingos.

Was it really necessary to record live sound?

And, if you ask me, low budget movie makers who shoot without sound and dub everything put way too much work into it.

Look at Manos: The Hands of Fate. It was shot without sound and dubbed. Would that movie really have been any worse if the lip-sych had been a bit off? The voice side of the acting might have been more interesting if they hadn't had to focus on matching everything exactly.

Would it really have hurt if Pink Flamingoes had been sloppily dubbed? Not all that sloppy, but somewhat sloppy. Even John Waters was kind of embarrassed by the overall quality. He could have filmed it faster and cheaper. Wouldn't need to shoot re-takes for bad sound or flubbed lines (although he probably didn't anyway.)

Maybe do it like Doris Wishman where they just avoided showing the actors' mouths while they talked. Gave it kind of an artistic quality----the camera showing people's feet or their hands gesturing, or the person who wasn't talking, listening thoughtfully.
